Air Conditioning & 110V Galley RefrigerationThere are three a/c compressor units and one refrigeration compressor on board, each operates off 110V AC power. There is one cooling water circulation pump that cools all of the units condensers. This pump operates off 110V AC and is located on the lower outboard wall of the starboard side of the engine room. NOTE: THE COOLING WATER PUMP MUST BE ON TO OPERATE ANY AIR CONDITIONER OR REFRIGERATION UNIT. THE COOLING WATER PUMP WILL NOT FUNCTION UNLESS A COMPRESSOR IS RUNNING WHILE THE COOLING PUMP SWITCH IS ON. THERE IS A UNIT WHICH TAKES INPUTS FROM EACH OF THE COMPRESSOR UNITS AND TURNS ON THE PUMP. THIS UNIT IS LOCATED ON THE ROOF OF THE ENGINE ROOM ABOVE THE ENGINE DRIVEN COMPRESSOR. 120 Volt Refrigeration OperationRefrigeration operates in two separate systems, engine driven and 110V AC. The AC compressor is located under the aft bunk.To operate the A/C refrigeration:
Water flow out both the starboard and port side of the boat should be assured after starting refrigeration. There are drains in the bottom of both the ice box and freezer to collect condensation that may develop in the boxes. This drain is pumped out via the second bilge pump. This should be done when cleaning the boxes or removing liquid from the bottom drain trap area. To operate the drain pump:
Operate the pump until the pump changes tone indicating that all liquid has been removed. Air Conditioning OperationThere are three air conditioning units on board. Each is controlled from the main 110V electrical panel. Their respective switches are FWD AIR COND, SALON AIR COND, AFT AIR COND. Each switch powers a control panel in the respective cabin which then controls the unit fan speed and temperature. NOTE: To operate any of these units the COOLING PUMP must also be on. Water flow should be noted from both the starboard and port side of the boat. The forward air conditioner and the saloon air conditioner are located under the third stateroom bunk forward. The aft air conditioner is located in the starboard storage compartment next to the master bunk. Maintenance data is as follows: To operate the A/C Air conditioning:
